The Network
Autonomous nodes form a self-healing mesh across the landscape. Each one senses, analyses, and communicates—no central infrastructure required.
How It Works
Mount sensors across the area. No wiring needed.
Nodes monitor air quality, temperature and capture images.
On-device AI processes data locally, fusing signals.
Confirmed detections propagate through the mesh.
Capabilities
10W panel with 7-day battery backup. Zero grid connection.
LoRa radio creates self-healing networks spanning 5km+.
On-device ML processes locally. Only confirmed alerts transmit.
Combines visual, chemical, and environmental data.
Handles rain, dust, and temps from -20°C to +60°C.
Designed and built locally for local conditions.
Who We Are
Blackwall is designed, built, and supported in Australia for Australian conditions.
Detection Time
Gas sensors detect the smoldering phase of a fire—before visible flames or smoke. This gives emergency services critical extra time to respond, when fires are still small enough to contain.
For Government
Councils and land managers need detection that scales with limited budgets. Blackwall deploys at a fraction of tower infrastructure costs.
| Method | Unit Cost | Coverage |
|---|---|---|
| Camera Towers | ~$250K/tower | 40km radius |
| Blackwall | ~$200/node | 2 km² |
Ongoing Costs
Camera towers require access roads, regular cleaning, and power infrastructure. Blackwall nodes are designed for remote deployment.
The Reality
Victoria declared a state of disaster in January 2026. This is our new normal.
